16th July Meeting

Sorry this is late, but I have been confined to barracks since the meeting! Got a bug and then this am I woke to find myself getting lost in a rotten cold! This means I will still be confined until it has gone ... aaaggg!!!
We were still busy with the "utility wrap" and they were coming along fine. Looks as if one, or two members will need a little extra time to complete theirs, but as we are so flexible, it isn't a problem.
A new member too!! How good is that! She loves patchwork and quilting (note I did NOT say "patchwork quilting") and brought some of her projects for us to drool over. At last someone with loads of expertise and experience in this area. We must try and get some photos for you all to look at...
Until there are some more finished project pieces, there aren't any photos for you to peruse... next time, hopefully.
Talking of next times, in August we begin our decoration of a jute/canvas bag. We bought some large bags and WE are putting our logo on one side and then the members can decorate the other side in any way they wish. I am so looking forward to this as it will cover so many techniques! Should have some photos for this  ... unfinished and finished...
Before too long we will have to decide on what the programme for next year will be. Each member gives a few suggestions, then we vote and the most voted for gets onto the programme. How simple is that? One member has already said that she would like to try "beading". !!?!! Would anyone of you like to make some suggestions for us??
Don't forget, you can be a "long distance" member! (It works out cheaper!)
Looking forward to hearing from you.
